EDUCATION

I don't think that the students should study more languages in the high school and junior high school in Japan. It is said that there aren't enough time to study own language in Japan, so we don't have to study a lot of languages. If we start having the options to study other languages except English, we study them by halves. It is enough to study Japanese and English for the student. I studied Chinese in once a week in my high school, but i don't remember a lot of them. It was good experienced for me to study Chinese, but i don't think that was necessary for us.

I don't agree with the writer.

I don't think that we don't have enough time to study Japanese. We had the reading time in the school, and we had the homework to read a lot of books in each holiday. I don't think it is because of the option to study English. We need to study English for the global world now.
I agree with Haruki Murakami who said "If it wants to change, let it change. Any language is alive just like a human being, just like you or me. And if it’s alive, it will change. Nobody can stop it. It just changes for better or worse" We started thinking and looking at the world not only our own country, and we sometimes inspired from the outside. As a result there are many things to change. I don't think it is a bad thing. However there are a lot of quiz shows today for people who don't know or forgot kanji or Japanese culture and languages , so people may think that it is a big problem for us. It is very difficult and important problem for us...

big probrem for us about that.

Men and Women

I agree with the author, but i understand why the men think that the women are "mendokusai"(hassle). We may request many things to men. Men and Women have different sex, so it is natural to have different sense of value.

Recently, shoushoku danshi(men who have a passive nature) are very popular with the girls, and also the many young idol of men are popular in Japan. We often use the word "kawaii" (cute) to them. I think the women's images of the men are changing.
